WhoStreamsIt starts with a question: what makes this film or series worth investigating for your next viewing session? Our collection brings together films and series appearing in popularity and streaming charts. It is an editorial selection, not a claim that one service can measure everything the world is watching.
Popularity has a source and a date
A popular-title list and a streaming chart measure different things. We keep the originating chart and its observation date on each title page. A position from one platform is not presented as a global rank. A film can also attract attention before release, so upcoming titles are labelled separately.
Facts first, then fresh writing
For every launch title, we consult at least two factual sources and write a new, spoiler-light introduction. The source links are visible on the page. We use supported facts about the premise, cast and creators, while leaving uncertain fields empty. The notes are AI-assisted editorial summaries and suggestions, not claims that a named reviewer has personally watched every title.
The score and our viewing notes
The Movie of the Night score uses a scale from 0 to 100. The provider calculates it by averaging ratings from multiple online sources. The source is shown beside the score, separately from our original viewing notes. You can filter films and series by a minimum score or sort them from highest to lowest. Titles without a supplied score stay unscored and appear after scored titles when sorting by rating. The Why it may suit you section explains the potential appeal of the premise and genre; it is our guide to exploring the title.
Clear origins for images and trailers
Official posters, key art and publicity stills are shown with the press source and credit for that image. Additional posters are supplied via Movie of the Night and credited to their respective rights holders. Original WhoStreamsIt artwork provides an alternative where a suitable poster is not available. Trailer links identify their official source, and embedded YouTube players load only when you choose to load them. Image rights, editorial writing and the separately credited TVmaze episode datasets have their own conditions; a text source alone does not grant image rights.
Corrections are part of publishing
A release plan, cast credit or streaming offer can change. Each page records its research date and links to the material used. If a factual detail needs correcting, contact the publisher through the contact page and include the title and the source that supports your correction.
